The Jugsters Rally 2012

For most of us the Jugsters Rally 2012 was the first rally of the year and what a fab one it was.

Mandy, Nige, myself, Ross, Dave, Kez, Mags, Teach and Sue arrived on Friday and just managed to put the tents up before the heavens opened. Despite the weather there was a good turn out, we were joined by Deb and Dave from Oswestry, Ken, Dave and Andy from the RBL.

The rally was kick started by cracking the cans and drinking the Voddie.

The bands were a mystery as the names weren’t revealed until they came on stage. Friday was ‘Exhibit A’ which I might add were a cracking band and Saturday was a band called Krap. Much fun was had by all and Deb did her usual and got absolutely hammered on the Friday. I think we should name her the Jager Monster.

The Jugsters had their usual bonfire going, which was a godsend because it was so cold.

After a good night we all retired to bed to discover it was one of the coldest nights ever. I’m surprised we weren’t all icicles in the morning.

Saturday we woke and luckily had a bit of sunshine so managed to gather outside the tents to have chit chatter and a load of laughs including Snorz’s excellent DIY skills at fixing his roof using plaster, artex and an exercise mat. In the afternoon us girlies me, Mandy, Kez and Maggie all went to Maggies to get showered and to bring back duvets, sleeping bags and blankets while the men retired to the pub to have ‘man time’, drinking and playing pool.

We met back up early evening and was met up with the Crossed Keys which had a good turn out. Much dancing and head banging participated which involved Taz being spun round (living up to her nickname) and much to my surprise Jumbo from the Jugsters got me up on the dance floor (Friday too) for a show of my poi poi, nerve racking but cool, way to go JUMBO.

As we retired back to the tent Saturday night the conversation between tents was hilarious, consisting of pushing and pulling and its in, its nearly in, oh no its out and where Kez has received a new nickname of ‘NASHER’.

Sunday we awoke and managed to pack all our tents away in some sort of fashion before it hammered down and then we all made our way home feeling great after a super weekend.
